Circuit Superintendent Minister

Our Minister is Rev Andrew Parker.

“I am originally from Pudsey in West Yorkshire and after working as an engineer and computer operator, I followed a calling to ordination as a Methodist Minister. I trained at Wesley College, Bristol and have served in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Circuit and Sheffield East Circuit before coming to Buxton in 2012. It is a wonderful privilege to serve the Methodist congregations in this circuit, set in the beautiful Peak District.”

Church Council

Our church is managed by our Church Council. It has authority and oversight over the whole area of the ministry of the church, including the management of the property. It is made up of the church stewards, ordinary members of the congregation, and others who represent all aspects of church life and our activities – children and young people, worship development, pastoral care, safeguarding and so on – and has three sub-committees: property, finance and pastoral care.

The Council meets three times a year, in October, March and June.

Communications Coordinator

We have a Communication Coordinator who looks after both our internal and external communications, producing our weekly notice sheets and quarterly magazines, maintaining our noticeboards and managing this website and our Facebook page. They typically work on Fridays.

Caretakers
